After more than 2,000 years travelling through the heart of the Alps, the water gushes out naturally at Bonneval les bains, in the Tarentaise valley in Savoie. No human intervention is necessary.

Its millennia of passage have given it a uniquely rich mineral content, preserved by slow filtering. Bonneval is rich in calcium.

Our history

Bonneval water is a precious part of Savoie’s heritage that has stood the test of time and history. It emerges at Bonneval, a locality of Bourg Saint Maurice, in the heart of the Haute-Tarentaise Valley. Bonneval natural mineral water has been known since ancient times for its mineral properties. We embarked on this adventure in 2017. Bonneval was created with respect for the qualities of its water and in harmony with the nature that surrounds it. Today, we are proud to bring it to you.

Bonneval water

2000 years of history

This whole process takes thousands of years, 2000 years on average. On its journey to the surface, Bonneval’s water travels for years through sedimentary layers, becoming loaded with minerals from the Savoie landscape. It is the interaction with the minerals in these rocks that gives it its unique taste and composition.

The natural mineral water from Bonneval-les-Bains, in Bourg-Saint-Maurice in Savoie, emerges at 28°C, pure and without drilling. Free from PFAS and pesticides such as chlorothalonil, it is of exceptional quality.

Bonneval is committed to using less than 20% of the spring to preserve the natural balance of the mountains and the water cycle.

Bonneval natural mineral water comes from rain, melting snow and glaciers in the Alps.
At an altitude of around 2,000 m, water penetrates an unspoilt natural environment, slowly seeping into the rocks at depths of up to 2,500 m.
During this underground journey, it soaks up the minerals of the Savoyard relief, giving it its unique taste and composition.
Stored for centuries in aquifers, water reaches temperatures close to 80°C thanks to the Earth's heat and magmatic gases, which naturally push it towards the surface.
After a 2000-year journey, the water gushes freely at the Bonneval-les-Bains spring in Savoie, where it is collected without drilling.

Our MISSION

Our entry into the mineral water sector was made with an awareness of both the transformation and the expectations of the bottled water market: the quality of tap water, the use of plastic, the impact of transport on nature and carbon emissions. These are just some of the issues for which Bonneval is working to provide innovative solutions, so that the body can be nourished by nature. Sharing Bonneval natural mineral water is a project that we have built in our own image. Jean was originally attracted to mineral water, the only natural, untreated, health-giving mass-market product. David, for his part, had built up a powerful relationship with the earth and the elements.

Today, we’re delighted to be able to introduce you to Bonneval water, a thousand-year-old water, authentic in form and taste, with a strong history rooted in the fascinating region of Savoie.

Through this magical project, we hope to work in harmony with this treasure, capturing its richness while respecting nature. We owe it to ourselves to innovate and not to shy away from any obstacle, industrial or financial, in order to develop Bonneval’s water with the greatest respect for our environment. Our role as entrepreneurs naturally translates into a strong commitment, by adopting the status of Mission Company. For us, Bonneval’s social mission is as legitimate as its economic mission. Our raison d’être is to serve unique water that encourages attention to the essentials and provides a sense of well-being.
